Varun also advises ultra high net worth investors and family offices on activist and special situations, and he has had a successful journey as an angel investor, where he has made several successful investments that have grown exponentially in value. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Varun had 6 years of finance industry experience across the sell-side and buy-side. Before getting his MBA, Varun worked in the Investment Banking & Capital Markets group at Wells Fargo where he was involved in structuring and selling customized Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate hedging solutions to corporate clients. Varun began his career with Citibank where he rotated between the investments, sales, and credit risk groups within the Private Bank. Varun earned a Bachelors degree from UCLA and an M.B.A. from NYU. In addition to exploring Varun’s career from private banking to hedge funds, we also discuss his angel investment exit that got acquired for millions of dollars, the misconceptions about Wall Street and so much more.
